Position Overview

Stipend: Interns may be eligible for a monthly stipend and a one-time travel lump sum of $500 USD.

Internship Responsibilities

As an Administration Intern (Research Intern), you will:

  • Conduct research on development policies in various fields.
  • Assist in data collection and research processes.
  • Help in editing and printing publications.
  • Support the preparation of special events and commemorations.
  • Provide technical, logistical, and administrative support as required.
  • Report to and perform other duties as required by the Programme Coordinator.

Eligibility and Requirements

  • Education: Enrollment in or recent graduation (within the past 12 months) from a university degree program in international development, environment management, or related fields.
  • Experience: No prior work experience is required, but a portfolio of relevant work is an asset. Legal permit or student visa to work in New York is necessary.
  • Language: Fluency in written and oral English is required. Knowledge of a second G77 working language is desirable.
  • Skills: Understanding of international development issues, expertise in mapping and computer skills, strong communication and analytical skills, and editorial abilities are all advantageous.
