Northeast Asia Legal Talents CSC Scholarship 2025 at Jilin University

Jilin University has announced the opening of applications for its prestigious 2025/2026 Northeast Asia Legal Talents Program under the Youth of Excellence Scheme of the Chinese Government Scholarship. This one-year master’s program is designed to cultivate high-level international legal professionals with expertise in Northeast Asian legal affairs, fostering strong connections among jurisdictions and enhancing the region’s legal and economic cooperation.

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Non-Chinese citizens under 45 years old with good health.
  2. Educational Qualification: A bachelor’s degree or higher, with at least three years of relevant work experience. Preference will be given to those with related education or work backgrounds.
  3. Applicants must belong to one of these four categories:
    • Governmental officials at or above the department level in their home country.
    • Senior executives in institutions or enterprises.
    • Administrative staff in universities or research institutes.
    • Individuals with experience in international organizations.

How to Apply?

The application process involves multiple steps:

  1. Online Application: Submit your application by January 10, 2025, through Jilin University’s International Student Service System here. Ensure all required documents, such as passport details, diplomas, transcripts, recommendation letters, and health certificates, are uploaded.
  2. Preliminary and Further Reviews: The application will go through an initial screening by the College of International Education, followed by detailed evaluation, including remote interviews or written examinations.
  3. Final Submission: Once pre-admission results are confirmed, applicants must complete the scholarship application in the Chinese Government Scholarship Information System by March 24, 2025.
