Atlantic Council Internships 2025 Inviting Applications

The Atlantic Council Internships 2025 are calling ambitious students and recent graduates to apply for one of the most impactful experiential learning opportunities in international relations and public policy.

The Atlantic Council, renowned for advancing global leadership and strategy, is offering three distinct internship tracks in 2025 — including the prestigious Young Global Professionals (YGP) Program, Summer Internships, and exclusive Institutional Partnerships. Each of these pathways promises not only practical experience but also access to global thought leaders, foreign policy challenges, and professional growth workshops.

Internship Track Available for Applications Currently

Young Global Professionals (YGP) Program – Fall 2025:  A selective, hands-on learning experience for passionate students and young professionals.

  • Duration: 19 weeks (August 11 – December 19, 2025)
  • Time Commitment: 30 hours/week (flexible)
  • Focus Areas: Research, publications, software tools, strategic events, networking
  • Location: Washington, DC (some remote U.S. options available)

❌ Note: YGP is only offered during Spring and Fall.
✅ Open to juniors, seniors, grad students, and recent graduates.


Who Can Apply?

  • Undergraduate juniors and seniors
  • Graduate students
  • Recent graduates (within the last year)
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (e.g., CPT/OPT or through an external sponsor)
  • The Atlantic Council does not sponsor visas and cannot host international interns based abroad
  • Remote roles are U.S.-based only
  • High school students are not eligible.

Application Timeline – Fall 2025 (YGP Program)

The application process for the Fall 2025 cohort of the Young Global Professionals (YGP) Program at the Atlantic Council opens on May 14, 2025. Interested candidates must submit their applications by the deadline of June 8, 2025, at 11:59 PM EST. Selected applicants will receive offers or decline notifications between July 7 and July 18, 2025. The internship program itself will run from August 11 to December 19, 2025.
