GIZ Euroclima Internship 2025 in Brussels With €1350 Per Month Stipend

Running from 8 September 2025 to 7 March 2026, this six-month internship provides aspiring professionals the chance to gain first-hand experience in international cooperation, climate change policy, and sustainable development initiatives.

Your Role as an Intern

As an intern with the Euroclima team at GIZ Brussels, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting general programme management and contributing to work at the intersection of climate policy and business.
  • Preparing, organising, and documenting meetings, reports, and events.
  • Drafting status reports for funding bodies and partner institutions.
  • Supporting internal knowledge management systems and external communication.
  • Assisting with project monitoring, reporting, and evaluation.
  • Translating documents across Spanish, English, and German.
  • Participating in stakeholder meetings and recording minutes.

The internship offers a dynamic work environment with exposure to both international institutions and ground-level project implementation efforts.

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible for this internship, candidates must:

  • Be either enrolled in a university or have graduated within the past six months, preferably in a field such as business administration, political science, economics, or law.
  • Have near-native proficiency (C2 level) in at least two of the following: German, English, or Spanish.
  • Possess strong MS Office skills and excellent organisational and communication abilities.
  • Be familiar with international development or the LAC region, although prior experience is not mandatory.
  • Have a clear interest in climate action, sustainable development, and international cooperation.

Fluency in French or Portuguese is considered an additional asset. Candidates must be capable of working independently and handling diverse responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Important Note for Non-EU Applicants: A valid Belgian work permit is required prior to applying. GIZ cannot assist with obtaining this permit or cover the costs.
