Canada Discover Exchange Program Scholarship 2026 Seeking Applications
Famous for its majestic Rocky Mountains, turquoise lakes, and vibrant cities, Alberta is opening its doors to the world with the Discover Canada – Alberta 2026 | Cultural Exchange Program, scheduled for May 26–29, 2026. This unique opportunity will take 30 selected participants on a journey through Calgary, Banff, and Kananaskis, blending cultural immersion, environmental appreciation, and international networking in one of the most picturesque regions of North America.
Following Alberta’s spotlight moment as the host of the 51st G7 Summit in 2025, the program promises an extraordinary setting for intercultural dialogue, cultural storytelling, and leadership development.
Funding Package
The program offers both fully funded and partially funded participation options to ensure accessibility for individuals from all backgrounds. Selected participants will benefit from:
- Accommodation during the program dates
- Meals and local transportation within Alberta
- Guided cultural and nature excursions in Calgary, Banff, and Kananaskis
- Networking sessions with cultural experts and local community leaders
- Inclusion in the official “Discover Canada” alumni network.
Participants opting for the partially funded option will receive substantial cost coverage but will be expected to contribute toward certain expenses.
Short Eligibility Criteria
Applicants are welcome from any country and academic or professional background. To qualify, candidates must:
- Communicate in English (no official language test required)
- Show interest in Canadian culture, history, and intercultural exchange
- Preferably have previous travel experience
- Be active on social media (preference for photographers, videographers, bloggers, and content creators)
- Exhibit motivation to share cultural experiences with a wider audience.
