Research Fellowships 2026 at Asia Research Institute by National University of Singapore
The Asia Research Institute (ARI) is inviting applications from accomplished scholars in the humanities and social sciences to undertake advanced research on Asia for the FY2026/27 intake. This is an exceptional opportunity for experienced academics to work within ARI’s thematic research clusters, contribute to collaborative grant applications, and engage in impactful knowledge exchange through conferences, workshops, and publications.
Funding Package
Selected fellows will receive a competitive remuneration of S$6,250 per month (inclusive of stipends for housing and living expenses). While university housing is not provided, eligible candidates will receive travel assistance, support for research fieldwork and conference participation (subject to approval), and, for Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents, provident fund benefits. All benefits are subject to local tax laws and university guidelines.
The initial appointment is for two (02) years, with the possibility of renewal for another two years based on performance, institutional priorities, and available funding—making it a potential four-year engagement.
