Imagine studying in Beijing, Shanghai, or Hangzhou—where ancient culture meets modern innovation—and having your entire education 100% fully funded by one of the world’s largest scholarship programs. That’s the opportunity the Chinese Government Scholarship (CGS) or CSC Scholarship offers to international students again in 2026.
This fully funded Chinese Government scholarship 2026-2027 covers tuition fees, on-campus accommodation, monthly stipends, and medical insurance, allowing you to focus entirely on your studies.
Why Apply for the CSC High Level Postgrad Scholarship 2026?
China’s top universities—such as Tsinghua, Peking, Fudan, Zhejiang, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University—are offering CSC-funded programs under the Ministry of Education. With no application fees at many institutions and English-taught programs widely available, it’s one of the most accessible global scholarship routes.
What the Chinese Government Scholarships 2026 Covers?
The Chinese Government Scholarship 2026 offers a comprehensive funding package designed to help international students study in China completely free of cost. Under this fully funded scholarship, students can study for free in China for their bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD programs at over 280 top-ranked Chinese universities. The scholarship covers all essential educational and living expenses, including a 100% tuition fee waiver, ensuring that students face no financial burden during their studies.
In addition to free tuition, recipients enjoy free on-campus accommodation or a monthly housing allowance to support living costs. To further ease financial pressures, the program provides a monthly stipend of ¥2,500 for Bachelor’s, ¥3,000 for Master’s, and ¥3,500 for PhD students, helping cover meals, transportation, and other daily expenses. Moreover, all selected scholars receive comprehensive health insurance worth ¥800 per year, ensuring full medical protection throughout their academic journey.
Qualifying Criteria for China Government Scholarship 2026
To qualify for the Chinese Government Scholarship 2026, applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements set by the China Scholarship Council (CSC). These standards ensure fair selection and maintain the program’s academic excellence across all levels of study.
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and in good physical and mental health. The scholarship is open to students of all nationalities who wish to pursue higher education in China. Bachelor’s degree applicants must be under 25 years old, Master’s degree applicants under 35, and PhD applicants under 40 at the time of application.
