About the CMPA Equity Scholarship
The Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) is dedicated to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) within the medical community. Recognizing the systemic barriers and socioeconomic challenges faced by underrepresented groups, the CMPA is offering the Equity Scholarship to support Black, Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, and Métis), and other racialized medical professionals.
Scholarship Fund Benefits
CMPA is providing three (3) Equity Scholarships to enable recipients to attend the 2024 Family Medicine Forum (FMF) in Vancouver, BC, from November 6-9, 2024. The scholarship will cover the registration fees for any category of attendance at FMF 2024. However, it does not cover additional costs such as travel, accommodation, meals, and incidentals.

How to Apply for Canadian CMPA Scholarship?
To apply for the CMPA Equity Scholarship, follow these steps:
- Write a Brief Response: Explain in 400 words or less how attending the FMF 2024 will benefit your future and why it is important to you.
- Include Your Résumé: Make sure to include an up-to-date résumé with your application.

- Application Deadline: Send your response and résumé in English or French to [email protected] by August 16, 2024.
A selection panel will review the applications and award scholarships based on need and the quality of the application package. Successful applicants will be notified by August 30, 2024.
