  • Be classified as an overseas student for fee purposes.
  • Hold an offer to start a full-time master’s (including MRes) in 2024/2025 at the University of Nottingham UK, in the faculties of Engineering, Medicine and Health Sciences, Science, or Social Sciences.

Exclusions: You are not eligible if you:

  • Are a current student or graduate of the University of Nottingham.
  • Have already studied outside your home country.
  • Are currently studying in the UK.

The Developing Solutions Masters Scholarship 2024 at University of Nottingham is open to students from all African nations, India, and the following Commonwealth countries: Bangladesh, Tristan da Cunha, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Turks and Caicos Islands, Sri Lanka, Anguilla, St Lucia, Gibraltar, Dominica, Papua New Guinea, Trinidad and Tobago, Bermuda, Tonga, Malaysia, Fiji, Nauru, Belize, Montserrat, Falkland Islands, Kiribati, Vanuatu, St Helena, Brunei, Maldives, Guyana, Pitcairn Islands, Grenada, Jamaica, British Virgin Islands, Solomon Islands, Pakistan, Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Nepal, Tuvalu, St Kitts and Nevis, Cayman Islands, Samoa.

English Language Requirements at the University of Nottingham

Applicants must meet specific English language requirements of University of Nottingham, which vary depending on the test. The IELTS (Academic), Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic, and TOEFL (iBT) are all accepted tests with different score requirements.

For the IELTS (Academic) test, applicants need a minimum overall score of 6.0, with at least 5.5 in each element including writing, listening, reading, and speaking. If taking the Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic, the required minimum overall score is 65, with no less than 59 in each component. For those opting for the TOEFL (iBT), the minimum overall score is 80, with specific minimums in each section: 17 in writing, 17 in listening, 18 in reading, and 20 in speaking.

There is a £50 application fee to apply for admission at University of Nottingham.
