Health Scholarship 2025 at University of Suffolk

The University of Suffolk is offering an exciting opportunity for international students through the Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence in Health Scholarship for the 2025/6 academic year. This scholarship is designed to recognize and reward outstanding international students who have demonstrated academic excellence and a commitment to pursuing a career in the health professions.

Scholarship Benefits

The Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence in Health Scholarship offers the following benefits:

  • Award Value: Each scholarship is valued at £4,000 per year of study.
  • Number of Awards: The University of Suffolk will award 50 scholarships for the 2025 academic year, split between the September 2025 and January 2026 intakes.
  • Tuition Reduction: Scholarships will be provided as a reduction to the tuition fee upon enrolment at the University. This will help international students significantly reduce their financial burden during their studies.
  • Duration: Scholarship recipients will receive the award for each year of full-time study, provided they remain on their original programme of study.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence in Health Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must have received a conditional or unconditional offer for one of the eligible undergraduate (360-credit) or postgraduate-taught (180-credit) health programmes at the University of Suffolk, Ipswich campus.
  • Must be an international student (classified as Overseas for fee purposes) and self-funding.
  • Must be applying to commence studies in the 2025/6 academic year.
  • Must be studying full-time.
  • Undergraduate applicants must be starting their studies in Year 1 (Level 4).
  • Must apply for the scholarship before the application deadline (detailed below).

Students holding offers for the following health-related programmes are eligible to apply for this scholarship:

  • BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography
  • BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing
  • BSc (Hons) Mental Health Nursing
  • MSc Adult Nursing (Pre-registration)
  • BSc (Hons) Radiotherapy and Oncology
  • MSc Diagnostic Radiography (Pre-registration)

Application Process

The Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence in Health Scholarship is not automatic. Eligible applicants will be invited to submit a scholarship application after receiving an offer of admission from the University of Suffolk. Scholarships will be awarded based on:

  • Scores obtained during the academic interview for the applicant’s chosen programme.
  • In cases where scores are tied, the scholarship will be awarded based on interview scores and prior academic achievements.
