  • Citizenship: Must be a citizen of one of the MTCP recipient countries.
  • Educational Intent: Intend to pursue full-time postgraduate studies (Master’s) in Malaysia.
  • Age: Not more than 45 years old at the time of application.
  • Academic Qualifications: Must have obtained a minimum of Second Class Upper (Honours) or a minimum CGPA of 3.5 or equivalent at the undergraduate level.
  • English Proficiency: Must provide proof of English language proficiency through IELTS (minimum score 6) or TOEFL (minimum score 60), or an official letter stating English was the medium of instruction for their previous degree(s).
  • Health: Must have an excellent level of health certified by a doctor/physician. The cost of the medical check-up shall be borne by the applicant.
  • Admission: Must have received a valid admission offer from at least one Malaysian university (refer to the list of eligible universities).
