Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Postgraduate Access Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:

Domiciled in the UK: You must be classified as a Home student for fee-status purposes.
Studying a 180-credit Postgraduate Taught Degree: Eligible courses include both full-time and part-time Masters programs. Your studies must commence in the 2024-2025 academic year.
Under-Represented Background: You must fall into one or more of the following categories:
- Completion of a University of Birmingham or another university’s Widening Participation Scheme.
- Care Leaver (spent three months or more in local authority care).
- Disability (in receipt of DSA or other disability allowances).
- Black and Ethnic Minority Background.
- Bereaved of or Estranged from Both Parents (under age 25).
- Caring Responsibilities for a family member or friend.
- Annual Household Income of £42,875 or less.
