Who Can Apply?

To be eligible for this prestigious programme, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Nationality: You must be a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.
  • Education: You should have completed at least 18 months of your undergraduate studies (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in an administrative field by October 2024.
  • Student Status: You must remain registered as a full-time student during the internship.
  • Language Skills: You should have a good knowledge of English or French.

Students specializing in STEM/engineering fields should consider applying for CERN’s Technical Student Programme instead.

What Does CERN Offer in Switzerland?

CERN values your expertise, dedication, and passion. In return, the programme provides:

  • A contract of association for 2 to 12 months.
  • A monthly allowance of 3452 Swiss Francs (net of tax).
  • A travel allowance.
