Application Timeline

Applications for the AAUW American Short-Term Research Publication Grants 2027 will officially open on 17 August 2026. Eligible women researchers will have until 30 September 2026 to submit their complete applications and supporting documents. Following a competitive review process by independent scholarly panels, successful candidates can expect to receive award notifications in April 2027.

Funding is scheduled to begin between July and September 2027, allowing recipients to focus on manuscript preparation and publication activities. Grantees will submit a mid-year progress report in December 2027, while the final report is due by 31 July 2028, marking the completion of the grant period.
