About the Program

The Leonhard Euler Program aims to support diploma/master’s students, doctoral candidates, and university lecturers from Moldova, Ukraine, Central Asia, the South Caucasus, and the Western Balkans by funding combined study and research stays. This includes work at both their home universities and partner universities in Germany. The funding helps participants complete their diploma/master’s and doctoral theses, enhancing their expertise and global academic collaboration.

Funding Details

  • Eligibility: Diploma/master’s students, doctoral candidates, and university lecturers from the listed regions.
  • Covered Countries: Moldova, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia.
  • Activities Funded: Study and research stays to work on diploma/master’s and doctoral theses.

Who Can Apply?

International students form state and state-recognized German universities, non-university research institutions conducting independent research, and having partnerships with eligible countries.
