Financial Requirements to Stand Eligible for UK Study VISA

To apply for a UK Study Visa, you need to show proof of funds to cover tuition and living expenses:

  • Tuition Fees: The first year’s tuition fees as stated on your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS).
  • Living Costs:
    • London: £1,334 per month for up to 9 months.
    • Outside London: £1,023 per month for up to 9 months.
  • Bank Statement:
    • The funds must be in a bank statement covering a consecutive 28-day period.
    • The period must end no more than 31 days before the application date.

Scholarships winning students will have reduced bank statement requirement for UK Study VISA:

Scholarship-winning students can have reduced financial requirements. If the scholarship only covers a portion of the tuition fees or living costs, you need to provide evidence of having the remaining amount available for the 28-day period in your bank statement.

If the scholarship covers all tuition fees and living costs, you still need to show evidence of having enough funds to cover any additional expenses not covered by the scholarship. For scholarships provided by official financial sponsors recognized by the UK government, the bank statement requirement may be waived.

Even if a scholarship covers all expenses, you must provide evidence of the scholarship award letter and a statement from the sponsor confirming the details.
