CQA Scholarship Program Overview
The CQA Master’s Scholarships aim to support exceptional students in pursuing eligible master’s programs in quantum science and technologies. The scholarships cover matriculation fees for one year (60 ECTS) at participating universities, ensuring that financial barriers do not hinder your academic and research aspirations.

Eligible Master’s Programs
To be eligible for the scholarship, students must be admitted into one of the following master’s programs and demonstrate a focus on quantum science and technologies:
- Master in Quantum Science and Technologies (UB, UAB, UPC)
- Master in Photonics (UPC, UB, UAB): Students should focus on elective courses in Quantum Optics (QUANTOP) or relevant master’s thesis topics.
- Master in Engineering Physics (UPC)
- Master in Cybersecurity (UPC): Emphasis on quantum cryptography, quantum computing, and AI.
- Master in Advanced Telecommunication Technologies (UPC)
- Master in Telecommunications Engineering (UPC)
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be enrolled in an eligible master’s program starting September 2024.
- Responsible for fulfilling all entry requirements, including academic eligibility and student visas.
- High working knowledge of English.
- Demonstrated academic excellence and personal achievements.
Application Process
To apply for the CQA Master’s Scholarship, candidates must:
- Apply for admission to an eligible master’s program (https://cataloniaquantum.eu/masters-scholarships-2024)
- Submit the following documents online:
- Motivation Letter: Outline your chosen master’s program, planned courses, internships, and research projects.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV): Include your contact details.
- Academic Transcripts: Scanned copies in English or Spanish.
- Referee Contact: Provide the email of one referee.
The final deadline for applications is 30 June 2024. Applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis, with scholarships awarded monthly to outstanding candidates.
Selection Process: The selection committee, appointed by the CQA Coordination Board, will evaluate applications based on academic qualifications, relevant experience, motivation, fit to the program, and leadership potential. The evaluation process may include contacting referees, program coordinators, and possibly a short online interview.
Successful candidates will be notified and must confirm their enrollment in an eligible master’s program. Reserve candidates may be considered for subsequent rounds if scholarships become available. All candidates will be informed of the outcome of their application.
