I bring you one of the high paying scholarship news announced by Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs & International Cooperation (MAECI) for international students and for Italian citizens living overseas to apply for Italian Government Scholarships 2024.

Which Degrees are Offered on Italian Government Scholarships?

I think you should know that Italian government scholarships sponsored by MAECI are available for Italian language and culture advanced courses, PhD programs, faculty supervised research courses (Progetti in co-tutela), masters degree program (Laurea Magistrale 2° ciclo), and courses under Arts, Music and Dance (AFAM).

Italian Gov Scholarships Funds Coverage

If you are familiar with fully funded European scholarships then you need to add this Italian government scholarship to list because MAECI scholarship is also a fully funded scholarship because they are offering around 900 euros stipend which will be paid in bank accounts of the winners of this Italian scholarship but for that students will be asked to open their bank accounts in Italy upon their arrival and later on upon joining Italian university this stipend will then be disbursed.

I am also glad to tell you that Italian government affiliated universities also announced free of cost education for the winners of MAECI scholarships with health insurance and medical checkup coverage plan.

Application Deadline for Italian Government Scholarship

Now this is really important because with that you will have an idea of how much time is still remaining before you can submit your scholarship application in Italy. So, you need to hurry up and get all required documents to submit your Italian government scholarship before 9 June 2023 at 14:00 CET time and these scholarship applications will then be evaluated by Italian Diplomatic Mission.

With that it is also worth mentioning that the duration of these Italian scholarship will last till 31 October 2024 and then an academic review might be carried out to extend the duration of scholarship.

Eligibility Requirements for Italian Scholarship

Academic and Age Requirements:

Each of the academic courses offered under Italian government scholarship program has its own eligibility requirements as per Italy academic equivalence standards whereas the applicants must not be over 28 years of age for master degree programs, or must not have age of over 30 years for Phd enrollments and must not have age of above 40 years for research based projects.

Language Proficiency Requirements:

Universities in Italy offer degree programs and courses in English or Italian language and this is why applicants are required to provide language proficiency proof with their scholarship applications and here i will disclose minimum language requirements for these Italian MAECI scholarships.

For English language taught programmes at Italian government universities on MAECI scholarship you will be required to provide English language proficiency certificate (Issued by your last attended university) or you must have a score of B2 in common European framework of reference for languages (CEFR) whereas for Italian language taught programmes you will be required to have A2 level in CEFR or have to submit Italian language proficiency certificate.
