Is Sungkyunkwan’s Spring 2027 Award Open to International Students?
Yes. Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) is offering selected international students 50% off tuition for the whole degree, with up to two candidates nominated per country. Nominees need an official recommendation from an embassy or diplomatic mission, and nomination does not guarantee a place. Everyone must still apply in the regular window.Can You Apply to SKKU? ☐Neither I nor either parent holds Korean nationality, dual nationality included.
☐I will finish high school before March 2027. GED and home-schooling certificates do not count.
☐I have TOPIK or an English test (TOEFL iBT, IELTS), or qualify for an exemption.
☐My embassy will consider a nomination letter.
Four ticks and you are ready. Without a Korean certificate you can still earn a “preliminary offer” and reapply within two years.

34–13 Nov: apply online as per SKKU and pay; the form cannot be edited afterwards.
4By 27 Nov: make sure originals arrive in Seoul. Posting that day is too late.
