Available Postgraduate Programmes
Sunway University offers a wide range of Master’s and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees across various disciplines:
- Master’s Degrees: Computer Science, Creative Arts and Media, Information Systems, Life Sciences, Medical Science, Psychology.
- PhD Degrees: Biology, Business, Computing, Creative Arts and Media, Hospitality and Tourism, Mathematical Sciences, Medical Science, Psychology, Sustainability Science and Technology, Sustainable Development.
Sunway Scholarship Categories
We offer three main types of scholarships to prospective postgraduate students:
- Bursary: Available for both Master by Research and PhD programs, offering a 30% tuition fee waiver for Master’s and 50% for PhD.
- Scholarship: Offers a 60% tuition fee waiver for Master’s and a complete tuition fee waiver for PhD candidates.
- Studentship: Exclusively for PhD candidates, covering 100% of tuition fees along with registration and resource fees, and a living allowance of RM3,000 per month for 36 months.
Eligibility Criteria
- General Requirements: Open to all full-time postgraduate research students who meet the entry requirements for their chosen program and receive an unconditional offer from the University.
- Financial Support Specifics:
- Master by Research: Up to 60% tuition fee waiver.
- PhD: Up to 100% tuition fee waiver and cost of living allowance.
- Award Criteria: Requires a CGPA >= 3.5 or its equivalent, and for the studentship, at least one published journal article in WOS/Scopus as the first or corresponding author.
