Which Scholarship Could You Receive?

It covers eligible bachelor’s and postgraduate coursework degrees as well as the Swinburne Foundation Program, UniLink diplomas and Postgraduate Qualifying Program.
Applicants with particularly strong academic results may be considered for the George Swinburne International Excellence Scholarship, which reduces tuition fees by 30% throughout the standard duration of an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree.
Female international applicants entering selected engineering or construction programmes can compete for the Women in Engineering Leadership Scholarship. It offers a 30% tuition reduction and includes professional-development and mentorship activities.
Eligible courses include:
- Bachelor of Construction Management (Honours)
- Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)
- Master of Construction and Infrastructure Management
- Master of Engineering Science
- Master of Professional Engineering
Students who do not yet meet the English-language requirement of their principal course may benefit from the ELICOS+ Scholarship. After completing the packaged English course and beginning the main degree, a refund equal to as many as 10 weeks of ELICOS fees is deducted from tuition charges across the first three semesters.
Can You Apply?
You may be considered if you are an international student commencing an eligible course at Swinburne’s Hawthorn campus for the first time in 2027. Australian and New Zealand citizens, as well as Australian permanent residents, are not eligible.
Applicants must satisfy the academic, English-language and course-entry requirements stated in their offer. A student cannot hold another Swinburne tuition discount or an external tuition-fee reduction simultaneously. Where multiple Swinburne arrangements could apply, the university will use the most favorable one.
The scholarships cover tuition fees only—not Overseas Student Health Cover, practicum charges, accommodation, travel or living expenses.
The Bachelor of Aviation and Piloting, including its double degrees, is excluded. Postgraduate exclusions include the Master of Physiotherapy, Master of Occupational Therapy, research master’s degrees and doctorates.

Applying early is sensible because admission processing, visa preparation and course availability may affect how quickly an offer can be issued.
