Eligibility Criteria

  • Target Applicants: Primarily aimed at students from Africa, though all eligible countries listed in the DAC List of ODA Recipients for 2024-2025 are considered.
  • Program Requirements: Applicants must be accepted for admission in the academic year 2024-2025 into one of the eligible postgraduate programs listed in the scholarship details.
  • Academic Excellence: A UK first-class honors degree equivalent is expected, showcasing the applicant’s academic merit.

Eligible Programs

1# Online Learning (Part-Time, 3 years): MSc Critical Care, Clinical Education, Clinical Management of Pain, and others, including specializations in Infectious Diseases, Clinical Trials, and Global Health.

2# On-Campus (1 year): MSc Human Anatomy, Science Communication and Public Engagement, various research-oriented MSc programs in life sciences, and MPH Public Health.

Application Process

  1. Admission Requirement: Applicants need to secure an offer for admission from the University of Edinburgh and either accept it or intend to accept.
  2. Online Application: A completed online Glenmore scholarship application is necessary. Access is granted after admission application processing.
  3. Personal Statement: Applicants must submit a personal statement (max 3500 characters) addressing three specific questions related to program choice, personal development, and community contribution.

Criteria for Selection:

  • The scholarships are awarded based on academic merit and the strength of the personal statement.
  • Priority is given to applicants from the listed eligible countries who haven’t had the opportunity for Masters-level study.
